A SIG Alert has been issued for northbound Highway 101 near the Cuesta Grade due to multiple crashes Monday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol three crashes were reported between 1:01 p.m. and 1:11 p.m.
The first reportedly occurring at the Cuesta Summit, the second at Mt. Lowe Road and the third on the San Luis Obispo side of the grade.
The first crash was said to be non-injury, but the extent of injuries in the other two crashes was not immediately known.
A SIG Alert was issued as traffic was moving slowly through the area.
