A new temporary signal is now installed near the Highway 1 washout one-half mile north of Jalama Road near Lompoc.
Caltrans officials say traffic delays are not expected to exceed 5 minutes.
The washout of the roadway occurred on Saturday, Feb. 25. Repair work was expected to take a few weeks.
