There's a new sight for visitors at the Pismo Pier.
Washington-based ceramic tile artist Michael Laboon finished the piece he calls "Atomic Fish."
The City chose this one over a beach scene that Laboon also pitched.
"Each one is hand cut and each piece is cleaned with a little bevel on the edge which catches the light,” said Laboon.
Many of the tiles included in the mural have gold in them.
This piece was part of the Pier Plaza Tile Art Mural Project.
