Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday for its new wound care clinic.
Hospital staff say the new clinic will allow them to provide a more comprehensive level of care.
San Luis Obispo County Supervisor John Peschong, Templeton Chamber of Commerce, physicians, staff and Tenet Health Center Coast Management were all at the event.
This is the first wound clinic that is licensed in a hospital setting within San Luis Obispo County.
"The main difference is that here, because of the setting of the clinic, there's also more time spent with each patient to make sure we're getting all the correct products," says Dr. Michelle Ribas.
The wound care clinic is open twice a week. Each appointment takes about an hour and a half.
