Guests at a San Simeon hotel are back safe in their rooms after they were evacuated due to a reported bomb threat.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office received reports of a potential bomb threat at the Cavalier Oceanfront Resort around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Someone reported a note written on a bathroom stall that said two bombs were going to detonate between 4 and 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The resort was evacuated while the SLO Sheriff's Office and California State Parks searched the property with K9's with explosives training.

After a thorough investigation, no suspicious devices were found, according to officials.

The property was restored to normal operations around 7:30 p.m.
