SLO Safe Ride is donating fresh produce from Talley Farms to local health care workers.
Residents are being asked to nominate essential medical workers via SLO Safe Ride’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
SLO Safe Ride will randomly select one health care worker on the front lines every week through the month of May from the nominees and give them a box loaded with local fruits and vegetables.
The rideshare company says it is looking for ways to give back right now and asks the community to reach out to them for anything they might need help with.
