Nurses, part of National Nurses United, gathered on Oct. 29 to honor registered nurses who have lost their lives to the coronavirus.
This is part of a movement started by the nation's largest nursing union.
According to the organization, hundreds of nurses have died as a result of COVID-19.
The group held candles and read off the names of nurses who have died because of the pandemic.
"Tonight we are focusing on these nurses who have died because they are not getting the protection that they need and again it's all due to the profit motive of healthcare in our country today," Retired nurse Sherri Stoddard said.
