The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to an oil spill in Mission Hills near Lompoc Monday night.
It happened in the area of Rucker Road and Calle Lindero at approximately 7:43 p.m.
There were reports of strong smells of rotten eggs as the units responded to the spill, fire officials say.
The scene has been contained, according to the Santa Barbara Fire Department; and the Hazardous Materials Unit is continuing to contain the situation.
Santa Barbara County firefighters are assisting with clean-up, and there is no additional threat.
