The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to a report of an oil spill Friday morning southeast of Santa Maria.
Fire officials say 70 barrels of produced water and 4-5 barrels of oil spilled at an oil field in the 7300 block of Palmer Rd.
The oil and water reportedly did not leak beyond the oil well pad and no waterways were effected.
Fire officials said Santa Barbara County oil and gas specialists were at the scene to initiate cleanup.
