The Old Town Market in Orcutt is back in business with new owners after closing earlier this year.

The market on E Clark Avenue has served as Orcutt's locally-owned grocery store since the late 1940's, but community members were shocked to hear the building would close for good after being suddenly sold in April.

The market's new owners announced its reopening on social media Wednesday, bringing much hope to the town.

One of the new owners of the market says he hopes to turn part of store into a food court and keep the other side a traditional market.

"The people here are very friendly and nice, and they're still a very close community. They know each other, and that's what I like. Most of our businesses, we try to focus on the community and make sure we give them the services they need," new co-owner of Old Town Market Nabil Fidel said.

The brothers who purchased old town market said they also own restaurants in Solvang, Santa Maria and Pismo Beach.
