UPDATE: Santa Barbara police are releasing new details about a deadly rollover crash that caused traffic delays in the area.
Officers responded at about 11:42 p.m. Sunday to Cabrillo Boulevard near Los Patos Way.
Investigators say they determined a driver heading north at Highway 101 exited at Hot Springs Road and hit a curb and light pole near the Cabrillo Boulevard intersection.
“The impact caused the vehicle roll several times up the embankment along the Highway 101 Southbound Offramp where it eventually came to rest,” police said in a press release.
The driver was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Their name has not yet been released.

ORIGINAL STORY: A Sig Alert is in place for a hard closure of the northbound and southbound off-ramps of Hot Springs Road in Santa Barbara, according to the CHP's traffic incident page.
The incident page is also reporting a fatal crash took place at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, when a vehicle went into bushes and was flipped on its roof.
Traffic delays can be expected if you are traveling near the area, it's unknown how long the closures will be in place.
