UPDATE: Lompoc Police investigating shooting that injured one man

UPDATE (10:41 p.m.): Lompoc Police say they received calls around 8:20 p.m. Sunday night, with reports of a gunshot victim in the 500 block of North K/L Alley.

Upon responding to the area, officers found a 23-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound to his lower leg, according to police.

Lompoc Police say they provided immediate medical aid to the man until Lompoc City Fire Department and AMR could arrive.

The man was transported to an area hospital, treated for his wounds, and then released, officials say.

Lompoc Police say further investigation of the shooting has revealed several shots were fired at the victim, who was also with two others that were not hit by the gunfire.

Police are continuing to investigate and say there are no suspects, evidence, or witnesses.

The Lompoc City Fire Department says crews responded to reports of a gunshot victim near the 500 block of North L Street around 8:30 p.m.

The patient is being transported to Marian Regional Medical Center via ambulance, according to fire officials.
