In an effort to maintain social distancing, the City of Morro Bay is encouraging one-way pedestrian traffic along sidewalks on the Embarcadero.
The signs went up a little over a week ago, ahead of the closure at beach parking lots in the city.
City Manager Scott Collins says that the sidewalks in the area are fairly narrow, and if the city were to see a high number of visitors, the one-way traffic will help eliminate close contact with others.
Similar signs reminding people of social distancing measures are also up at popular trails in the Morro Bay area.
Hand washing stations are also available along parts of the Embarcadero.
