Orcutt’s Old Town Market closes Thursday after 16 years in business.
The building first opened in 1948.
Owner Mark Steller heard from the landlord several months ago that a cannabis dispensary company bought the building.
Since then, it's changed hands.
A third party bought the building again and will put in another market-style store.
“It's bittersweet, looking forward to the next chapter and I really hope that the town will embrace whatever it is that comes into this spot,” said Steller.
Over the past few months, Steller had to downsize and sell his remaining products.
Him and his wife Wendy will take a break before considering future business plans.
