A parolee was arrested following a pursuit through Santa Maria Sunday night.
Santa Maria police say officers responded at around 10:15 p.m. to Conserve Fuel on the 900 block of East Betteravia after receiving reports of a fight and someone with a gun.
As officers were pulling up, police say they saw the suspect vehicle driving away.
A pursuit began, eventually ending on the 700 block of East Maripoa where police say the driver got out of the vehicle and ran off.
A perimeter was set up in the area and officers say the suspect was taken into custody.
A Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s helicopter assisted police with the search following the vehicle pursuit.
