The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District announced on Wednesday that school closures are being extended to at least May 16.
District officials say that if the San Luis Obispo County Health Department announces that they are extending the shelter-at-home order beyond May 16, then the district will immediately announce that schools are closed through the end of the school year on June 4. However, district officials say if county health officials announce that the shelter-at-home order will be lifted on or about May 16, then the district will take steps to determine if it is possible to reopen schools on or about May 18 through June 4.
District officials say they will continue with their distance learning program throughout that period of time.
