A Paso Robles police officer arrested a wanted parolee Sunday morning after a foot chase.

Police say 28-year-old Alvaro Paez was found in an apartment complex in the 3000 Block of Spring Street in Paso Robles.

An officer located a vehicle associated with Paez before finding him in the complex.

Paez fled from the officer through a random apartment.

The officer called for backup before detaining Paez.

Upon arrest, Paez was found in possession of a controlled substance.

Police say Paez was arrested for his no-bail warrant, two misdemeanor warrants, resisting a peace officer, trespassing and possession of a controlled substance.

Police say Paez has been evading arrest since failing to show up for his June sentencing. He was due in court on felony domestic violence charges.
