Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery Wednesday night at the Spirit Gas Station in Paso Robles.
The call came in around 10:30 p.m. Police say a man entered the business on Spring Street holding a black semiautomatic handgun and demanded money from the cashier.
The man was wearing a black sweatshirt, gloves and jeans. A bandanna was covering his face.
The suspect was inside the store for several minutes before running on foot toward Oak Street, according to police.
