A shooting in Paso Robles Thursday night is believed to be gang-related, according to police.

The Paso Robles Police Department says officers responded at around 9:30 p.m. to a report of shots fired in the area of Santa Ysabel and San Augustin Drive.

Responding officers say they found a man in his 30s on the ground, who had been shot.

He was taken to the hospital and as of Friday morning, is said to be in “stable” condition.

“At this time we believe the suspect is known to the victim and this incident is believed to be gang related,” police said in a press release.

Paso Robles police are working in conjunction with the San Luis Obispo County Gang Task Force on the investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information that may help in their investigation to contact authorities.
