A surfer died after suffering cardiac arrest Monday in the Goleta area, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Fire officials say they were called to the area between Campus and Goleta Beach around 3:30 p.m.
Despite the surfer being pulled from the water by other surfers, who reportedly performed CPR until first responders arrived, fire officials say the surfer was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other information was immediately available.
