Person suffers leg injuries when tree falls near Cuesta Grade summit

One person was injured Friday afternoon when a tree fell on top of them near the Cuesta Grade, according to CAL FIRE.

Officials say the patient was pinned under the tree when firefighters arrived but has since been freed.

It happened at about 1 p.m. off Mt. Lowe Road east of the Cuesta Grade summit.

Fire officials say the patient suffered minor to moderate leg injuries.

It's unclear at this time what the injured person was doing at the time the tree fell.
