ORIGINAL STORY (5:30 a.m.): CHP officers are responding to a crash in Nipomo that consequently knocked out power to nearby neighborhoods.

According to the CHP incident page, a pick-up truck crashed into a power pole and overturned at Willow and Pomeroy roads at about 5 a.m. Tuesday.

It's unknown whether anyone was injured and how many people were in the truck.

CHP says the crash caused live power lines to fall across Pomeroy Rd.

Pomeroy Rd. has been closed until PG&E crews can safely remove the power lines.

The collision caused a power outage for more than 780 PG&E customers in the Nipomo area.

PG&E officials estimate power will be restored by 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.
