The annual South County Turkey Trot at Pismo Beach is happening rain or shine Thanksgiving Day.
People can line up starting at 8 a.m. for the one-mile, 5K, 10K walk, jog or run, which takes off on the south side of the pier at 8:30 a.m.
Dogs on a leash are welcome to take part.

The even benefits the SLO Food Bank and is in memory of Christine Allen, a San Luis Obispo teen who died in a tragic accident in 2013.
