Police say no danger to Santa Maria school after teen makes threat

Santa Maria police say there is no immediate danger to students or staff at Tommy Kunst Jr. High School after a reported threat.

Police say at around 1 p.m. Wednesday, detectives were called to the school for a report that someone made threats of school violence.

Detectives reportedly made contact with a 13-year-old who police say made the threats and also talked to his parents, who were cooperative.

Police say the case will be forwarded to the juvenile probation department for review of charges.
