Poll workers are needed in Santa Barbara County for the upcoming presidential primary.
The election takes place March 3 and county officials say staffing is needed for the nearly 170 precinct boards.
Those who volunteer will receive a stipend of $180 to $240. Training will be given.
Poll workers need to meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered voter in California or lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States.
- Be able to follow written and verbal instruction and attend mandatory training.
- Be available to serve on Election Day from approximately 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
