Downtown Paso Robles will not be filled with tasty olive treats and the scent of local lavender this August.

The Paso Robles Downtown Main Street Association is announcing the additional postponement of the Paso Robles Olive & Central Coast Lavender Festival to next year.

The 17th annual Paso Robles Olive Festival was set to take place on May 2 and the Central Coast Lavender Festival was slated for May 12.

Organizers had moved to combine the two events into one festival scheduled for August 22.

As of Thursday, the decision has been made to postpone the festivals to sometime in 2021.

However, the Main Street association says events scheduled between September and December of 2020 have not been called off at this time.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, the City of Paso Robles says all public events are "tentatively scheduled" and no events will be permitted unit the city receives revised guidelines from health officials.
