Riders in San Luis Obispo County hopped on their bikes and rode several miles to support local kids.

The 39th annual SLO County Toy Run kicked off Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and dozens of bikers joined in to give back to their community.

Participants started in downtown Avila Beach and took a scenic ride through back country roads before ending at the Portuguese Hall in Arroyo Grande.

Each person paid a $5 admission fee and was encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for kids ages 1 through 16 or pay $15 if they couldn't bring a toy.

The fundraiser featured a barbecue lunch, raffle prizes, a 50/50 drawing, and live music.

The grand prize winner scored a single axle enclosed trailer.

The event, hosted by the SLO County Toy Run, invites different clubs and organizations to come together and donate toys and money to support children in the community.

The non-profit looks to gift toys to underprivileged children this holiday season.
