Atascadero Police arrested a man suspected of robbing a liquor store and assaulting an employee on Wednesday.
Police say the man stole a bandana from Chalk Mountain Liquor on El Camino Real, and when confronted by an employee, took out a large knife.
Police say the suspect swung the knife at the employee, causing a superficial wound to the victim's hand.
Officers reportedly spotted the suspect and his vehicle on Highway 101 and conducted a high-risk stop with the help of several other law enforcement agencies.
Police arrested Kyle Walls, 21, and booked him into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say a photo of Walls is not available at this time.
