The Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo has gone virtual for its annual fundraisers this holiday season.
From Nov. 26 to Dec. 5, the Rotary is selling Drive-Thru BBQ meal tickets and the Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo Cookbook online at slorotary.org. The tickets are good for a meal including a choice of meat or vegetarian option with sausage, beans, sourdough bread and cookies available for pickup Dec. 12 at Simply Clear Marketing in San Luis Obispo.
There's also a silent auction of multiple items including Disneyland park-hopper tickets.
The proceeds from the tickets, cookbooks and silent auction go to the Rotary Club's scholarship fund for local students who have faced significant personal challenges and excelled in their studies.
Each year, the Rotary Club awards more than $39,000 in scholarships. This year, all in-person fundraisers have been canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions, including the annual Spaghetti Western & Homes of Distinction Tour.
