Work to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Highway 46 West and Vineyard Drive west of Templeton is scheduled to begin later this month.
In 2017, after a history of vehicle collisions, Caltrans installed a four-way stop with flashing beacons at the intersection.
Crews will start work on the roundabout on Monday, June 15. Caltrans says motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control Mondays through Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Delays are expected to be no more than 15 minutes.
Caltrans says the project will cost $4 million.
