Runners take part in "Stride with the Tide" 5k run in Pismo Beach
Runners raced along the beach Saturday morning for the annual Stride with the Tide 5k run.
Runners started at 8:30 a.m. on the south side of the Pismo Beach Pier running an out-and-back course on the sand.
People of all ages and skill levels participated in the scenic run.
The top three male and female finishers in each age division received awards for their times.
"I know exactly how I feel like after I run and that feeling I want to bring across to all people because after you do some races you feel so great," said Erich Gross, who ran the race for the fifth time. "You feel good. The whole day is in front of you. It's marvelous."
Some people raced for time, others walked and jogged with family and friends.
