The San Luis Obispo DMV is one of 46 field offices opening statewide this week.
Beginning Thursday, the San Luis Obispo location will begin offering limited transactions for those needing an in-person visit and seeing people with current appointments.
It’s the only Central Coast DMV location given the go-ahead to reopen so far.
The DMV says it has started rescheduling prior appointments but behind-the-wheel drive tests are still suspended.
People are encouraged to use online services when possible.
Those visiting the DMV will be required to wear a face covering and remain six feet apart from others in line.
Social distancing measures are in place for employees and the DMV says disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, facial shields, gloves and soap and water are also available to workers.
Hand-washing stations will be available for customers at some locations.
The San Luis Obispo DMV office will be open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
