The City of San Luis Obispo announced the $1.5 million project improving more than 19 miles of roads in the city finished Monday.

The project began in July and included improvements to the following roads:

  • Buchon Street
  • Calle Joaquin
  • Granada Drive
  • High Street
  • Islay Street
  • Leff Street
  • Oceanaire Drive
  • Margarita Avenue
  • Peach Street
  • Pismo Street
  • Sandercock Street
  • South Street

The Bob Jones Bike Trail between Prado and Los Osos Valley Roads as well as the Emerson Park parking lot also went under improvements.

The improvements involved applying a slurry sealant and new striping to the roads.

"We would like to thank community members for their patience and support during this important project," said Matt Horn, San Luis Obispo City Public Works Director, in a press release today. "The slurry seal revitalized the existing asphalt, bridging cracks and providing an all-weather driving surface, while new striping enhanced safety and multi-modal transportation."
