Officers with the San Luis Obispo Police Department arrested four people and cited two others at a DUI checkpoint Friday night and Saturday morning.
According to a news release from the police department, officers conducted the checkpoint at the 200 block of Santa Rosa Street from 8 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.
One person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, while an additional three people were arrested for other criminal charges, including petty theft, possession of a fake license, possession of an open container of marijuana, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of drugs for sale.
Two other drivers were cited for operating a vehicle without a license or with a suspended or revoked license, according to police.
Officers said funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
