A power outage in the Santa Barbara area affected Santa Barbara City College’s campus temporarily Tuesday morning.
At around 8:42 a.m., school officials said the main campus was closed for safety reasons due to a “Southern California Edison unplanned power outage resulting from equipment problems.”
About 30 minutes later, the school said power had been restored and the campus reopened.
Classes are scheduled to continue as normal.
“All Staff and Professors have been asked to be flexible with employees and/or students as they may be arriving late to campus after seeing the announcement of the closure,” the school said.
