Santa Barbara Co. reports 30 new cases of COVID-19

Santa Barbara County reported 30 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, bringing the county's total to 1,847 confirmed cases as of June 9.

Of that total, 984 cases are inmates at the federal prison in Lompoc. Only 16 of those cases are currently active.

Of the cases in the community, 45 people are currently hospitalized, including 11 patients who are in the ICU.

Another 117 people are recovering at home and 662 people have recovered.

Santa Barbara County is reporting a total of 15 COVID-19 related deaths.

Health officials say 23,049 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the county so far.

Three coronavirus testing sites are open to the community in Santa Barbara County. They are located at the Santa Maria Fairpark in Santa Maria, the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara and at 1745 Mission Drive in Solvang.
