Santa Barbara County detectives from the Special Investigations Bureau arrested a man from Lompoc on Tuesday for multiple sex crimes.

Officials with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office and the City of Goleta Police Department booked 34-year-old Benito Rodriguez Bravo into the Santa Barbara County Jail after a two-week investigation.

During their investigation, authorities found Bravo allegedly created an online advertisement attempting to recruit and hire females for the purposes of engaging in nude housecleaning and erotic massages, officials said in a press release.

Officials also say Bravo posed as the potential client who was to receive sex services from the females he was messaging.

As part of their investigation, detectives posed as a 16-year-old female while messaging Bravo, who sent explicit images and attempted to recruit the minor to have sex with high-paying customers. Officials say Bravo promised to pay the minor $5 thousand per week.

Bravo reportedly scheduled to meet the minor in Goleta, where detectives conducted surveillance of Bravo and arrested him.

In the press release, detectives say Bravo acted alone and had no intention to pay for any of the services he planned to receive.

Authorities say Bravo has been arrested on six charges related to sex crimes, including human trafficking of a minor and sending harmful material to a minor with an attempt to seduce.
