Santa Barbara County Fire crews are currently responding to an ATV that fell over the side in the Los Padres National Forest, about seven miles up from the Upper Oso Campground.
Public Information Officer Mike Eliason says two males were driving a side-by-side ATV when the vehicle began to fall over the side.
One of the riders was able to jump off before the vehicle left the roadway, the other fell down with the ATV about 100 feet, according to Eliason.
That person is believed to have major injuries to his head and ribs at this time.
Santa Barbara County Helicopter 308 will hoist the victim and fly him to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office Urban Search and Rescue team is on scene to assist with the rescue.
