The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is asking for help to identify a package thief caught on camera.
Police say an unknown suspect drove up to the front gate of a home around 6:30 p.m. on August 13th in the 900 block of Via Rosita in Hope Ranch and stole a package delivered to the door.
The package was valued at more than $2000 and had been delivered a short time before the theft.
The theft was caught on camera by a Ring Doorbell camera.
The camera shows the suspect pulling to the gate in a dark, newer model, four-door vehicle similar to a Ford Focus with the license plates removed.
The footage shows a woman leave the driver's side door wearing a hat, sunglasses and blue rubber gloves.
After grabbing the package, the suspect can be seen leaving the area.
Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call the Sheriff's Office at (805) 681-4150.
