Central Coast local "Mendeleyev" competed in the battle rounds on "The Voice" Monday night.
"Mendeleyev," 28, was born and raised in Santa Barbara but currently lives in Venice.
His full name is Mendeleyev Galileo Einstein Pythagoras Darwin Euclid Leonardo Allan-Blitz.
In the battle rounds Monday night "Mendeleyev" competed against another contestant, 15-year-old Preston C. Howell.
Both of them were coached by John Legend and mentored by Usher before the battle round.
The two performed a duet of "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor.
All of the coaches complimented "Mendeleyev" on his performance, however in the end John Legend made the decision to move forward with Preston.
This means "Mendeleyev's" journey on "The Voice" came to an end Monday night.
