The Santa Barbara Police Department honored fallen peace officers Friday morning.
Officials held the memorial virtually due to the pandemic.
Peace Officers Memorial Day is held annually in the United States on May 15 in honor of federal, state and local officers killed in the line of duty.
It is observed in conjunction with police week.
According to Officer Down Memorial Page, 10 officers died in California in 2019.
An additional four officers have died this year.
