The Santa Barbara Police Department wants to remind people watch out for wildlife when driving at dawn and dusk.

They say more collisions between cars and deer happen in November than in any other month.

Traffic in Santa Barbara can be dangerous because of its proximity to the foothills of the Santa Ynez mountains.

Police say it’s important to keep a safe speed and allow extra space when following cars on rural roads.
