The Santa Barbara Police Department is welcoming their newest K9 to the team.
The department made the announcement of their new team member on their Instagram account on Friday.
The new K9 officer is named Kyra. She is a 2-year-old German Shepherd.
The department says Kyra and her partner, Officer Lombardo, are on the streets and ready to catch the bad guys, and serve the community of Santa Barbara.
