Santa Barbara Zoo to hold job and volunteer expo Sunday

Do you have the right koala-fications (qualifications) to work at the Santa Barbara Zoo?

Get your resumes ready because the Santa Barbara Zoo is hosting a Job and Volunteer Expo Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.

Full time, part time and seasonal openings are available for adults and teens, both paid and unpaid.

The Santa Barbara Zoo is looking to fill the following positions:

  • Docents
  • Barista
  • Cooks
  • Educators
  • Event Hosts
  • Guest Experience Specialists (Food and Beverage Retail)
  • Train Engineer
  • Show Actors
  • Teens as young as age 14 can apply for the Zoo's award-winning Guest Experience Specialist (GES) program. The program gives applicants the "first job" experience where they can learn a variety of responsibilities (applicants must be 18 and older for most other paid positions.)

People who attend will be treated to close-up animal encounters.

The zoo is located 500 Niños Drive, Santa Barbara, just off Cabrillo Boulevard at East Beach.

No reservations or appointments are needed, you can check in at the zoo's admissions area. Parking is free for participants.
