The Santa Maria Fairpark is planning a brand new festival to take place the weekend of October 23-25.
The fall festival is yet to be named, but Fairpark CEO Richard Persons says he wanted to get the word out now so people have something to look forward to.
Persons says the new event will include rides, food, games, and attractions similar to the Santa Maria Valley Strawberry Festival and the Santa Barbara County Fair.
Planning for the Santa Barbara County Fair continues. Persons says the fair is still expected to take place July 15-19.
