Santa Maria Fire Department responds to vehicle fire
Just before 5 p.m. Saturday, firefighters from Santa Maria Fire Department's Station 2 responded to a vehicle fire off Newlove Drive and South Broadway.

Captain John Sabedra says a man was driving when his car suddenly caught fire.
Firefighters believe the fire was started by an electrical malfunction, causing a fire in the engine compartment.
Firefighters say the car is a total loss but the driver is okay.
