Santa Maria Firefighters responded to a fire at the Hampton Inn and Suites Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out just before 5 a.m. at the Hampton Inn on the 2100 block of Preisker Lane.
Fire officials say when crews arrived they found a small fire on the second floor being kept in check by the sprinkler system.
One person was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center by AMR. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
