Five people were displaced from their home in Santa Maria after a fire broke out Thursday afternoon.
The Santa Maria Fire Department says no one was injured in the blaze on the 900 block of West Nartatez Court.
Two people were reportedly home at the time and called the fire department after noticing one of the upstairs rooms on fire.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they say two rooms were engulfed in flames.
Firefighters were able to knock down the flames within about 10 minutes.
No one was injured, but the home did sustain significant damage.
The cause is under investigation.
