Readers on the Central Coast can celebrate Black History Month by picking up a bag of books featuring Black authors or characters from the Santa Maria Library.
The library is offering Grab-and-Go Book Bags with four books inside. A reading list with iconic Black authors is also included in the bag.
They are available on a first-come, first-served basis from Monday, Feb. 8 through Saturday, Feb. 13. These book bags are not checked out to patrons and do not have a due date.
The Santa Maria Public Library's main library is open for sidewalk pick-up and passport services by appointment only. The Branch Libraries and Bookmobile are open for Grab-and-Go service.
