The shooter reportedly ran eastbound and is still at large.

(3:46 p.m.) - Santa Maria police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon in the 1000 block of W. Kingston.
According to the Santa Maria Fire Department, one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are currently at the scene and are asking people to avoid the area during the investigation.
